Accessibility Statement
Los Angeles Lawyer Corp is committed to making its client portal usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
This statement is maintained by Los Angeles Lawyer Corp (the "Firm") and describes the accessibility of the Firm's secure client portal and intake tools (the "Service"). It explains what we do, what you can adjust yourself, and how to ask us for help.
1. Our commitment
We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we design the Service with the goals of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12181 et seq.), the California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 51), and California Government Code § 7405 in mind. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort, not a one-time project: new features are reviewed for keyboard access, contrast, labeling, and screen-reader support before release.
2. What the portal supports today
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, form labels, and descriptive names for icon-only buttons so screen readers such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, and JAWS can announce controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and status information that is never conveyed by color alone.
- Responsive layouts that work at 200% zoom and on small mobile screens, with large tap targets.
- Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting.
- Multilingual display, so the portal can be read in your preferred language.
3. Settings you control
Signed-in clients can open Accessibility settings in the portal to adjust text size, turn on high contrast, always underline links, increase text spacing, reduce motion, and strengthen the keyboard focus outline. These preferences are stored on your device and applied everywhere in your portal. They do not change your legal matter, your documents, or any deadline.
4. Known limitations
Some content is outside our full control and may not meet Level AA:
- Documents you or third parties upload — scanned images and PDFs from courts, agencies, or other parties may lack a text layer. Tell us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
- Camera document capture — this feature is visual by nature. If you cannot use it, you may email or text documents to us, or mail or deliver them to our office, and we will upload them for you.
- Third-party services — SMS delivery and identity or payment providers are operated by outside vendors whose interfaces we do not control.
5. Alternative ways to reach us
If any part of the Service is a barrier, you are never required to use it. You may communicate with the Firm by telephone, email, postal mail, or in person at our office, and we will accept and deliver documents through those channels at no additional cost to you.
6. Requesting an accommodation or reporting a barrier
Contact us and describe the page or task, the assistive technology and browser you use, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within 3 business days and to resolve or provide an accessible alternative within 10 business days, or to explain our timeline if a fix will take longer.

7. Assessment approach
The Service is evaluated through a combination of internal review, automated accessibility testing, and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. This statement reflects our current practices and is not an independent certification or audit result. We update it as the Service changes.
8. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact us again in writing at the address above so a supervising attorney can review the matter. Nothing in this statement limits any right you may have under the ADA, the Unruh Civil Rights Act, or other applicable law.
